The word half-giant is actually incorrect. Half-giants are actually full giants, but of a shorter and more intelligent strain. They originally lived among other giants but eventually ran away because of the cruelty placed on them. Giants as a rule, still consider half-giants as theirs. They see them as their property and will enslave one if found. Half-giants now live mostly in harmony around other species and enjoy the magical protection that these other species give to them. In return, the half-giants, are usually employed to perform all of the most difficult and strength-demanding work. Because of this, half-giants are usually poor and always looking for a better way of life. Most free half-giants are more than happy to join adventuring groups and, due to their strength are valuable assets.
